Rep. Carlos A. Gimenez, U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 28th district, made several public statements on April 10, 2026, addressing international issues involving Iran and Venezuela.

Gimenez has represented Florida’s 28th District in Congress since 2021 after replacing Debbie Mucarsel-Powell. Before his congressional service, he held positions in the Florida House of Representatives and the Miami-Dade County Commission from 2005 to 2011. Born in Havana in 1954 and currently residing in Miami, Gimenez graduated from Barry University with a Bachelor of Public Administration degree in 1999.
