Representative Carlos A. Gimenez, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 28th district since 2021, posted several updates on April 30, 2026, addressing legislative action and international concerns.
In his first post at 13:40 UTC, Gimenez announced an appearance on Fox Business with Stuart Varney, stating “NEWS —> I’ll be on @FoxBusiness with @Varneyco now! Tune in!”
Later that day at 15:48 UTC, he shared his support for agricultural legislation following adverse weather events affecting local farmers. He wrote: “I voted YES on the landmark Farm Bill. After this year’s freeze hit our Redland fruits and vegetables, our farmers need real support. This legislation strengthens crop protection, helps producers recover, and provides the stability they need to keep growing. I’m delivering for”
At 17:12 UTC, Gimenez addressed concerns about political developments in Mexico under the MORENA party. He stated: “¡MORENA ES SINÓNIMO DE NARCO CORRUPCIÓN! BAJO EL MANDATO DEL PARTIDO MORENA, #MÉXICO SE HA CONVERTIDO EN UN NARCO ESTADO. DESDE EL CONGRESO DE USA, ESTAMOS PREOCUPADOS DE QUE ESTA CONSPIRACIÓN LLEGUE A LOS NIVELES MÁS ALTOS DENTRO DEL GOBIERNO MEXICANO. https://t.co/mSkg1wYNbf”
Gimenez has served as a U.S. Representative since replacing Debbie Mucarsel-Powell in 2021 and previously held positions in the Florida House of Representatives and Miami-Dade County Commission from 2005 to 2011. Born in Havana in 1954 and currently residing in Miami, Gimenez graduated from Barry University with a Bachelor of Public Administration degree in 1999.
