In a tweet posted at 04:14 UTC, Gimenez shared a link without additional commentary (https://t.co/BJVshMfRDT). Later that morning, at 11:01 UTC, he informed followers of an upcoming television appearance: “NEWS —> I’ll be on @foxandfriends today at 07:20 AM! Tune in!”
At 13:10 UTC the same day, Gimenez addressed the ongoing crisis in Venezuela by posting: “#SOSVenezuela The regime in Venezuela knows if it doesn’t comply, the consequences will be severe. We need elections so that opposition leader María Corina Machado can rightfully take her place as the country’s leader! https://t.co/T6cI5Ub5pX”
Gimenez has served as Florida’s 28th district representative since replacing Debbie Mucarsel-Powell in 2021 and previously held positions in both the Florida House of Representatives and Miami-Dade County Commission from 2005 to 2011. Born in Havana, Cuba in 1954 and now residing in Miami, Gimenez graduated from Barry University with a Bachelor of Public Administration degree in 1999.
