Gimenez has represented Florida’s 28th district in Congress since replacing Debbie Mucarsel-Powell in 2021. Before his congressional tenure, he served in the Florida House of Representatives and on the Miami-Dade County Commission from 2005 to 2011. Born in Havana in 1954 and currently residing in Miami, Gimenez graduated from Barry University with a Bachelor of Public Administration degree in 1999.
