Gimenez has represented Florida’s 28th district in Congress since replacing Debbie Mucarsel-Powell in 2021 and previously held positions in both the Florida House of Representatives and Miami-Dade County Commission from 2005 to 2011. Born in Havana, Cuba in 1954 and residing in Miami, he is also an alumnus of Barry University.
