Tabitha Klessens is the Monroe County School District Counselor of the Year.
Klessens is the Pre-K-8 school counselor at Sugarloaf School and her school counseling efforts for her students, families, and staff promotes student success both academically and in their whole health.
Her efforts go beyond the normal daily interactions, as she ensures that students feel safe, heard and cared for and that families are involved in the school community.
She makes staff aware of resources that can further help the students and she works tirelessly putting positive actions in place with composure and grace.
Congratulations to Mrs. Klessens on this well-deserved honor!
