Of the 1,980 people living in Tavernier in 2020, 46 percent (911) were women and 54 percent (1,069) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Key West Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 30. In the 65 and over age range, there were 185 females and 277 males.
