Of the 8,746 people living in Marathon in 2020, 46.8 percent (4,091) were women and 53.2 percent (4,655) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Key West Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 11. In the 65 and over age range, there were 822 females and 1,055 males.
