MCSD Teacher of the Year Zachary Owens, from Coral Shores High School, was celebrated with other TOY’s at the Florida Department of Education Gala recently. Superintendent Theresa Axford, along with several district personnel, were on hand to congratulate Owens at the statewide recognition. Commissioner of Education Manny Diaz, Jr. and his staff including Senior Chancellor of Education Jacob Oliva and Deputy Chancellor Paul Burns, spent the week with the TOY’s as they participated in leadership training and celebrations.
