HOW IT HAPPENED

First Quarter – NSU came out hot from three rattling four straight three-pointers to start the game, featuring baskets from Frederick, Conley, and Mackenzie Steele, giving the Sharks an early 12-10 lead. Towards the end of the quarter the Lions went on a 5-0 run to push ahead by four heading into the second quarter.

Second Quarter – Midway through the quarter, NSU went on a 9-0 run which was capped off by a Kyannah Grant layup, bringing the Sharks deficit to one. Shortly after, a jumper from Frederick, and free-throws from India Shepherd in the ensuing possession gave the Sharks the lead. However, late free throws from Saint Leo allowed the Lions to reclaim the lead at the end of the half.

Third Quarter – A'lexus Bryant and Conley converted back-to-back layups to start the second half for NSU. The rest of the quarter was a back-and-forth battle between both teams, with the Lions holding on to a 53-52 lead heading into the final frame.

Fourth Quarter – Conley started the quarter with a bang, knocking down a three-pointer to spark a 7-0 run for NSU. With just under five minutes remaining in the match, Conley got it going again, knocking down back-to-back three-pointers for the Sharks. Kyannah Grant wanted to join in on the three-point barrage, knocking down a three-pointer of her own, giving the Sharks a 71-65 lead. NSU never looked back, and left their foot on the gas pedal, ultimately securing the victory. Nova Southeastern takes down Saint Leo 79-68 in today's SSC matchup.STATS OF THE MATCH
