Rep. Carlos A. Gimenez, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 28th district, has shared a series of tweets addressing political issues and congratulating a new appointment. Gimenez, who was born in Havana, Cuba, and resides in Miami, has been active in public service since 2005.
On February 7, 2025, Rep. Gimenez expressed his views on the political situation in Cuba and Venezuela. He stated: "Los únicos ladrones son ustedes que le han robado la libertad al pueblo de #Cuba por más de 60 años y han saqueado a #Venezuela de sus recursos naturales."
Later that day, he commented on the role of government bureaucrats in policy implementation. He tweeted: "For far too long, government bureaucrats have undermined the will of the Congress & the American people, to pick & choose the policies they implement. Those days are coming to an end."
In another tweet from February 7, 2025, Rep. Gimenez congratulated Gady Serralta on his new role as Director of the U.S. Marshals Service: "Congratulations to Miami’s very own Gady Serralta, the new Director of the U.S. Marshals Service! "
