Rep. Carlos A. Gimenez addresses tsunami threat and honors Cuban-American community

Rep. Carlos A. Gimenez, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 28th district, shared several messages on social media on February 9, 2025. His posts reflected both concern for international events and pride in local community achievements.

In a post from February 9, 2025, Rep. Gimenez expressed his thoughts regarding the Caribbean region facing a natural disaster threat. He stated: "Praying for our neighbors in the Caribbean under tsunami threat tonight."

Later that day, he attended an event significant to the Cuban-American community and shared his sentiments online. He wrote: "So proud to join so many dear friends at the Cuban-American Bar Associations’s 51st Annual Installation Ceremony Gala!" He emphasized the contributions of the Cuban-American community to the nation.

At this same event, Rep. Gimenez congratulated Amanda Fernández on her new role as President of the Cuban-American Bar Association. He noted: "Lourdes & I were honored to congratulate Amanda Fernández, the new President of the Cuban-American Bar Association." State Attorney Katherine Fernández-Rundle was also present during this occasion.
