Rep. Carlos A. Gimenez, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida's 28th district, recently shared his views on international and domestic issues through a series of tweets. Gimenez, who has been serving in Congress since 2021 after replacing Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, expressed his opinions on topics ranging from foreign affairs to trade policies.

On February 13, 2025, Rep. Gimenez addressed the leadership of the Tren de Aragua gang in Venezuela. He stated: "The leader of the Tren de Aragua (TDA) gang is dictator Nicolas Maduro." He further commented on the need to address Maduro's influence by saying: "To extinguish Tren de Aragua (TDA) we need to extinguish Nicolas Maduro, a serial killer with a $25 million dollar bounty on his head."

Later that day, Rep. Gimenez turned his attention to trade policies under former President Trump. On February 13, 2025, he tweeted: "President Trump has just announced RECIPROCAL TARIFFS for countries unfairly treating American products!" He emphasized the importance of mutual market access by stating: "If you want to sell to the USA, we must have access to your market as well." Concluding with: "What is fair, is fair!"
