One Time Change to Hazardous Waste Drop Day

City of Key West recently issued the following announcement.

Waste Management has made a one-time change to the First Saturday Free Household Hazardous Waste Collection. Instead of holding it on New Year’s Day, the service will be 

held on January 8th at Indigenous Park from 8 a.m. until noon. This free collection is open to Key West residents only.

Items accepted will be household chemicals and electronics such as but not limited to gasoline (in a leakproof container), oil, batteries, acids, poisons, cleaners, fertilizers, pool 

chemicals, TV’s, microwaves, gaming systems, phones, computer parts, and accessories, remote controls, etc.  

They will not be accepting any household garbage or appliances.
