City of Key West seeks Crossing Guards

4

Monroe County School District recently issued the following announcement.

Are you retired and looking for a fun way to interact with the community while getting paid? Do you like the idea of keeping kids safe on their way to and from school? The City of Key West may have just the job you’re looking for.

The City is seeking part time crossing guards to work mornings and afternoons when school is convening and letting out. It’s a fun way to stay young and get to know the next generation of Key Westers.

“The City of Key West is extremely grateful for all of our school crossing guards and we admire their commitment and dedication to the safety of our children,” said City Manager Patti McLauchlin. “If dedication defines you, this rewarding job may be perfect. Crossing Guard duty involves an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon. Times vary depending on school start and closing times.”
