City of Marathon recently issued the following announcement.
City of Marathon Fire Rescue is hiring. The FF/Paramedic staring salary is $45,027 annually plus attainable incentive pay. Schedule is 24/48 with a “kelly day.” Twelve-step pay plan following probation. Tuition reimbursement available. Health insurance, life insurance, PTO and 13 paid holidays. Also seeking full-time single certified paramedics and EMTS for medical transport.
The City of Marathon Fire Rescue Department is a career organization operating from two fire stations: Station #14 Marathon and Station #15 Grassy Key. The department response vehicles include two engines, one tanker, on 109’ ladder truck, and two rescue trucks. Additionally, we operate two critical transport ambulances with single cert paramedics and EMTS.
The Department also has a team of highly dedicated and trained critical care patient technicians who provide the critical care transport throughout the Keys and into Miami-Dade hospitals; these crews also respond to 9-1-1 calls when staffing dictates.
