The City of Marathon allows citizens to access online records to verify vacation rental licensing status. It’s as simple as typing in a Marathon address at https://marathonfl.viewpointcloud.com/search .
If the house has a vacation rental license, the record will display the contact information for the owner, agent, or 24-hour contact person.
A home in the City with a valid vacation rental license will have a “VACA” prefix listed on the structure’s permit history.
If the address a citizen suspects of operating as a vacation rental license does not have a vacation rental license, a citizen can make a code complaint at https://www.ci.marathon.fl.us/code.../webform/code-complaint .
The online access to vacation rental property information is available 24-7 and is intended to supplement the capacity of the City of Marathon’s Code Compliance Department.
