Members of the Marathon High School Champions for Change, their sponsors, and chaperones attended the Community-Based Advocacy-Focused Data-Driven Coalition-Building Association (CADCA)’s National Leadership Forum this past week in National Harbor Maryland.
In addition to attending this national drug and alcohol prevention conference, this year, Champions for Change was selected to present a session on youth recruitment, engagement, and retention.
Champions for Change presented an engaging seventy-five minute presentation to a packed conference room of over one hundred prevention, health department, and other in field professionals.
Participants stayed an additional thirty minutes to speak with Champions for Change members to find out more about their important work.
Additionally, they had the opportunity to participant in Capitol Hill Day appointments with Senator Scott and Senator Rubio’s Aid to speak about the prevention needs in Monroe County.
