Gimenez highlights geopolitical shifts after Assad's fall

Rep. Carlos A. Gimenez, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 28th district, has recently expressed his views on international political developments through a series of tweets. Born in Havana, Cuba, and residing in Miami, Gimenez's comments reflect his stance on global alliances and their implications.

On December 8, 2024, Rep. Carlos A. Gimenez commented on the geopolitical impact of the Assad regime's fall in Syria. He stated that with this development, "Nicolás Maduro and the dictatorship in Venezuela have one less ally in the world." He further noted that "Russia and Iran did not have the capacity to help the Syrian regime — much less capacity they have to help Maduro." Gimenez emphasized that this is a significant moment for change.

Later that day, he announced an upcoming media appearance: "NEWS —> I’ll be on @CNN today at 06:00 PM! Tune in!"

In another tweet from December 8, 2024, Rep. Gimenez highlighted key lessons from recent events in Syria. He observed that "one of the main takeaways from the collapse of the Assad regime in #Syria is that Putin’s #Russia and the Ayatollahs in #Iran are NOT reliable partners and are weaker than ever before." He predicted similar outcomes for these leaders as faced by Assad.
