Carlos A. Giménez, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 28th district, recently expressed his views on international relations through a series of tweets. Born in Havana, Cuba, and residing in Miami, Giménez has been serving in Congress since 2021 after replacing Debbie Mucarsel-Powell.
On January 27, 2025, Giménez tweeted about the relationship between Colombia and the United States: "AMERICA FIRST! Moral of the story: DONT MESS WITH PRESIDENT TRUMP! We hope that President Petro has learned his lesson & will honor Colombia’s alliance with the United States."
In another tweet posted shortly after, he reiterated his stance in Spanish: "¡CON TRUMP NO SE METAN!
Further emphasizing his point on the same day, Giménez stated: " ¡Gustavo Petro no pudo contra el leviatán de la libertad llamado Donald J. Trump!
