Rep. Carlos A. Gimenez, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 28th district, shared his views on social media regarding recent developments in American foreign policy and immigration issues. Gimenez has been serving in Congress since 2021 after succeeding Debbie Mucarsel-Powell and has previously held positions in the Florida House of Representatives and the Miami-Dade County Commission.

On January 31, 2025, Rep. Gimenez commented on Secretary of State Marco Rubio's approach to foreign policy by stating that Rubio is "putting AMERICA FIRST & prioritizing our hemisphere!" The post can be viewed here.

In another tweet posted later the same day, Rep. Gimenez addressed Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Venezuelans fleeing dictatorship, emphasizing his long-standing support for these individuals. He stated that many Venezuelans have integrated into American society lawfully and contribute positively to their communities. The tweet is available here.

Continuing his discussion on January 31, 2025, Rep. Gimenez expressed concern over certain individuals exploiting immigration laws with ties to criminal organizations or regimes. He clarified that while all members of the 'Tren de Aragua' are Venezuelan, not all Venezuelans are affiliated with this group. This statement can be accessed here.
