Rep. Carlos A. Gimenez, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 28th district, shared his concerns and recommendations regarding Venezuelan nationals and their ties to organized crime through a series of tweets on January 31, 2025.

In one tweet, Rep. Gimenez highlighted the issue of certain individuals exploiting laws due to their connections with the regime or organized crime rings. He clarified that while "all members of the 'Tren de Aragua' are Venezuelan," it does not imply that "all Venezuelans belong to the 'Tren de Aragua'" (source).

Addressing an impending deadline, Rep. Gimenez called upon Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to consider a case-by-case approach for those contributing positively to the country (source).

Furthermore, he emphasized the need to focus efforts on removing Nicolás Maduro from power in Venezuela, stating that Maduro's dictatorship is responsible for repression and torture. He expressed hope for a future where Venezuelans can return home freely (source).
