Rep. Carlos A. Gimenez, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 28th district, has been vocal on social media about his stance on issues concerning Venezuelan migrants and the political situation in Venezuela. His recent tweets address these topics with urgency and clarity.

On January 31, 2025, Rep. Gimenez urged the Department of Homeland Security to make a decision that would individually provide solutions for those who contribute positively to the United States as a deadline approached. He stated: "Por eso, y en vista de la fecha límite de mañana sábado 1ero de febrero, le pido a la secretaría de Homeland Security que tome una decisión que permita individualmente proveer una solución a aquellos que aportan y no le restan a nuestro país."

In another tweet posted on the same day, he expressed his concerns about the regime in Venezuela under Nicolás Maduro. He emphasized the need to focus efforts on removing Maduro from power so that Venezuelans can return to their country freely: "La dictadura de Nicolás Maduro reprime y tortura a los venezolanos. Tenemos que enfocar nuestros esfuerzos en remover al tirano Maduro, para que el pueblo de Venezuela sea libre y puedan volver a su país en libertad."

Later that day, Rep. Gimenez highlighted his ongoing support for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Venezuelans fleeing what he described as a socialist regime. He noted that many have integrated into American society by respecting laws and contributing through honest work: " TPS exists to protect those fleeing the socialist regime & I have always fought for them. Many Venezuelans are in our country under these conditions and have integrated into our community, respecting our laws and contributing with honest jobs."
