On February 5, 2025, Rep. Gimenez expressed pride in addressing students at Columbus High School about his journey from Cuba to Congress. He noted the potential of these young individuals, saying, "Always honored to speak to my fellow Columbus Explorers on my journey from fleeing Communist Cuba to the United States Congress! These men are our Miami community’s next leaders & there’s certainly several Members of Congress in this bunch!"

He stated that Trump's new initiatives for Gaza could lead to further peace in the region: "President Trump brokered a historic deal with the Abraham Accords & his new vision for Gaza will bring us even closer to lasting peace in the Middle East!"
