On November 26, 2024, Rep. Gimenez expressed strong support for former President Trump's new tariffs against Mexico's government, describing it as "pathetic" and "pro-cartel socialist." He criticized Mexican President Sheinbaum for allegedly sending oil to Cuba and failing to combat cartels effectively "I APPLAUD PRESIDENT TRUMP’s ANNOUNCEMENT OF NEW TARIFFS AGAINST THE PATHETIC, PRO-CARTEL SOCIALIST GOVERNMENT IN MEXICO President Sheinbaum is sending oil to the murderous regime in Communist #Cuba & doing NOTHING to annihilate the cartels controlling her side of the border!"

The following day, November 27, 2024, Rep. Gimenez announced an upcoming appearance on Fox Business with Ash Webster substituting for Stuart Varney at 11:50 AM "I’ll be on Fox Business today at 11:50 AM with @AshWebsterFBN in for @Varneyco! Tune in!"

Later that day, he addressed threats against former President Trump's cabinet members, labeling them as unacceptable and calling for accountability under the law "NEWS —> The violent terrorist threats against President @realDonaldTrump’s cabinet members are beyond UNACCEPTABLE! They’ve been selected to serve our country & must feel safe. Those responsible must be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law!"
