On April 6, 2025, Gimenez expressed his stance on U.S.-Cuba relations. In a Twitter post, he declared, "NEWS —> America must put a STOP to all revenue streams the murderous dictatorship in #Havana uses to repress the people of #Cuba. As the only Cuban-born Member of Congress, I’m requesting the end of all flights & remittances to Communist Cuba! #SOSCuba".

The following day, April 7, 2025, he shared his condolences in a tweet for the loss of a prominent community figure. Gimenez wrote, "Lourdes & I would like to express our sincerest condolences to our dear friend, Remedios Díaz-Oliver, after the passing of her beloved husband of 66 years, Fausto Diaz, a successful businessman, proud Cuban exile, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
