Carlos A. Gimenez, representing Florida's 28th district in the U.S. Congress, shared several posts on social media in April 2025. He replaced former Congress member Debbie Mucarsel-Powell in 2021, bringing his extensive experience, including terms in both the Florida House of Representatives and the Miami-Dade County Commission. Giménez, born in Havana in 1954, currently resides in Miami and holds a degree from Barry University.

On April 11, 2025, Gimenez expressed his enthusiasm about collaboration with the Inter-American Development Bank, welcoming them to Miami. He noted his optimism about strengthening ties within the Americas. "Honored to welcome @el_BID to Miami & looking forward to working closely together to strengthen our presence throughout the Americas."

The following day, Gimenez extended well-wishes for the first night of Passover to friends and neighbors who celebrate the holiday. He shared a message of joy and tradition with individuals observing this occasion. "Wishing a happy, healthy and successful 1st night of #Passover to all our dear friends and neighbors who observe! We hope you enjoy this first Seder with your family and loved ones."

On April 13, 2025, Gimenez addressed his concerns regarding individuals from the Cuban dictatorship allegedly infiltrating the United States. He emphasized the ongoing efforts to identify these individuals and his strong stance against allowing them to remain in the country. "Estamos identificando a todos los represores de la dictadura de #Cuba que se han aprovechado de nuestras leyes para infiltrarse en nuestro país. No tienen cabida en Estados Unidos. Van para afuera."

Giménez continues to focus on cross-border collaboration and community engagement while confronting international security issues in his representation of Florida.
