Rep. Carlos A. Gimenez, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 28th district since 2021, has recently taken to social media to express his concerns regarding geopolitical matters in Latin America. Born in Havana, Cuba, and currently residing in Miami, Gimenez is known for his outspoken views on international relations.

On January 27, 2025, Rep. Gimenez issued a warning via Twitter concerning Panama's political dealings with China.

Later that day, at 05:00 UTC, he directed comments towards an unnamed leader whom he referred to as "Dictador puesto a dedo," cautioning about impending challenges.

In another tweet on January 27 at 15:29 UTC, Rep. Gimenez announced his participation in an upcoming discussion on W Radio Colombia at 11:00 AM. The conversation was set to address the perceived "disaster" caused by Colombian President Gustavo Petro and its implications for the U.S.-Colombia alliance. "
